Role overview

Location and working arrangement

• The role is based in Liverpool, Merseyside.
• Hybrid working averages two days in the office per week, subject to business requirements.
• The position is permanent.

Key accountabilities

• Monitor, manage, and report on security risks, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
• Support system compliance and ensure security controls are followed.
• Coordinate application patching across multiple business units.
• Maintain and support user access processes for systems and applications.
• Work with system owners to reduce risk and implement mitigations.
• Embed security into projects, systems, and future solutions.
• Support security roadmaps, risk assessments, and analysis.
• Provide trusted security advice and build relationships across information systems teams and the wider business.

The right person

• Experience in an information security role or working with security processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, objective approach.
• Confident communication skills with strong written and verbal ability.
• Experience producing reports and process documentation.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft applications, Active Directory, application security, and cloud services.
• Ability to manage changing priorities, work proactively, and handle multiple tasks.
• Collaborative mindset with willingness to learn and drive continuous improvement.
