Role Description

The Industrial Field Service Technician will work on-site in the United Arab Emirates, during our pilot period, supporting the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial process equipment.

In this role, the technician will perform routine inspections, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and carry out corrective and preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.

The position involves using Servana’s digital tools and dashboards to document service activities, update equipment records, and provide accurate feedback on equipment performance.

The technician will collaborate with operations, engineering, and remote support teams to implement best practices, adhere to safety and compliance standards, and continuously improve maintenance procedures.

This role also includes interacting with customers or internal stakeholders in a professional manner, ensuring clear communication about work performed and recommended actions.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills in industrial process equipment maintenance, including diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance for mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation such as equipment manuals, engineering drawings, P&IDs, and maintenance procedures.
  • Familiarity with digital maintenance tools, CMMS or similar platforms, and basic data entry or reporting within dashboards or mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices in industrial environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and interact with customers or internal stakeholders in a clear, respectful manner.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time on-site, and make sound technical decisions under time constraints.
  • Vocational/technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior experience as an industrial, field service, or maintenance technician in process industries (e.g., oil & gas, chemicals, manufacturing, utilities) is highly beneficial.
  • Willingness to work on-site, travel locally as needed, and adapt to evolving tools and AI-driven service processes.
  • Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are welcome
