Role Description

The Industrial Operations Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on-site presence and work-from-home flexibility.

The role focuses on overseeing and optimizing operational processes related to FMTC’s training programs, including scheduling, resource allocation, coordination with instructors, and continuous improvement of training delivery workflows.

The Industrial Operations Manager will analyze operational performance, develop and implement process improvements, and ensure that training services meet quality, efficiency, and safety standards.

Daily responsibilities include managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, monitoring KPIs, preparing operational reports, and resolving logistical or process-related issues.

The role will also support strategic planning for capacity, technology use, and cost control to enhance the center’s overall operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in industrial operations, operations management, or process engineering, preferably in training, education, or service environments.
  • Strong skills in process analysis, workflow design, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Ability to manage scheduling, resource planning, and logistics for multiple concurrent programs or projects.
  • Comfort with data analysis, KPI tracking, and reporting using spreadsheets and operations or ERP tools.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities in a hybrid work setting.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills for coordinating with trainers, learners, and partners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with quality management, risk assessment, and health and safety considerations in operational environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are an advantage.
  • Experience working in multinational or cross-cultural organizations, ideally within the GCC region, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate sound judgment
