About This Role
Core Responsibilities
- **Incident Handling:**
- Monitor security alerts (SIEM, EDR, Cloud), validate threats, and execute incident response plans to contain and neutralize threats.
- **Forensics & Analysis:**
- Perform in-depth analysis of network traffic, logs, endpoint data, and volatile memory to identify root causes.
- **Automation & Reporting:**
- Develop automated playbooks (e.g., using MS Sentinel) for faster response times and document detailed incident reports.
- **Threat Hunting:**
- Proactively search for potential threats and vulnerabilities within the environment.
- **Collaboration:**
- Work with SOC, Legal, and IT teams during investigations and remediation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- **Experience:**
- Generally 3–10 years in cybersecurity, with specific experience in incident response.
- **Technical Tools:**
- Hands-on experience with SIEM (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel), SOAR, and EDR tools.
- **Knowledge:**
- Strong understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, network protocols, and forensic tools.
- **Scripting:**
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages for automation.
- **Soft Skills:**
- Strong analytical abilities, ability to work under high-stress situations, and excellent communication skills.
