Role Description
The IMCA Air Divers and Supervisors role is a contract, on-site position based in Dubai, supporting hyperbaric tunnelling operations.
Responsibilities include planning and executing hyperbaric intervention operations in accordance with IMCA and relevant standards, conducting pre-dive checks, and ensuring proper use and maintenance of life support, air delivery, and associated compressed air breathing equipment.
The role involves monitoring dive team safety, managing dive logs and operational records, coordinating with project engineers and client reps and responding effectively to operational or emergency situations.
Supervisors will oversee dive teams, allocate tasks, verify equipment readiness, lead toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with safety procedures and project specifications.
Both Divers and Supervisors will collaborate closely with CTEK’s technical and management staff
Qualifications
- Valid IMCA-recognized Air Diver and/or Diving Supervisor certification, with a strong track record in commercial air diving operations.
- Demonstrated experience working with subsea and commercial diving equipment, including air systems, life support, and associated support infrastructure.
- Proven knowledge of IMCA guidelines, international diving safety standards, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Experience in coordinating dive teams, conducting briefings, maintaining dive logs, and reporting operational issues clearly and accurately.
- Strong situational awareness, decision-making skills, and ability to respond effectively to emergencies or changing subsea conditions.
- Ability to work on-site in demanding marine and industrial environments, with a focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English; additional regional language skills are beneficial.
- Physical fitness appropriate for commercial diving work, meeting applicable medical and fitness-to-dive standards.
- Previous experience on TBM Intervention an advantage but not essential
