• 🚀Title: IFRS Accountant
• 📍Location : Doha, Qatar - Onsite
• 🗓️Duration : 12 Months contract
• ⏰ Notice Period: Immediate joiner or up to 30 days
• 🔒 Key Requirements:
• **Experience:**
• Minimum of 10 years
• **Industry Experience:**
• Oil & Gas experience is a plus
• **Language:**
• Arabic preferred; non-Arabic speakers are acceptable
• 🔒 Skills and Attributes for Success:
• Strong working knowledge of
• complex IFRS accounting areas
• , particularly consolidation, joint arrangements, asset retirement obligations, and leases.
• Proven experience in handling
• technical accounting issues
• within large or complex organizations, preferably in project-based or asset-intensive industries.
• High level of analytical thinking with the ability to apply accounting standards to real-world business scenarios.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate outputs under tight timelines.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex accounting matters to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) is highly desirable
• Minimum
• 10 years of relevant experience
• in technical accounting, financial reporting, or a related finance role.

• , including equity accounting, impairment assessments, and related disclosures.
• Manage accounting for
• decommissioning and asset retirement obligations
• , including initial recognition, periodic remeasurement, and unwinding of discount.
• Oversee and advise on
• lease accounting under IFRS (IFRS 16)
• , including identification, measurement, reassessments, and disclosures.
• Prepare or review complex accounting papers, position memos, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, auditors, and project teams to resolve technical accounting matters efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and IFRS requirements.
