Overview
We are looking for an experienced IFRS 9 ECL professionals for a banking project.
The candidate will support Expected Credit Loss assessment, financial reporting, audit-related requirements, and IFRS 9 compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss calculation, review, and reporting activities.
- Analyze credit risk data, impairment models, and ECL-related assumptions.
- Review staging, PD, LGD, EAD, macroeconomic overlays, and model outputs.
- Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, finance, risk, and compliance departments.
- Ensure IFRS 9 calculations and reports are aligned with audit and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare documentation, working papers, schedules, and audit support files.
- Identify gaps, validate data accuracy, and recommend process improvements.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, or project-based financial reporting requirements.
Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in banking, audit, finance, or credit risk.
- Strong hands-on experience in
IFRS 9 – Expected Credit Loss (ECL)

- Prior
- audit experience is mandatory

- Must be
ACCA / CPA qualified

- Strong knowledge of banking financial reporting and impairment assessment.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid Qatar Residency Permit.
