ICT Engineer - Buildings

Role overview

Key accountabilities

• Perform electrical design duties for building services across design stages from 30% to 100%.
• Develop telecom, audiovisual, and security designs based on client needs.
• Assist with design across multiple projects and coordinate with regional leads.
• Coordinate work with professional engineers and CAD/BIM technicians.
• Use customized tools, utilities, and scripts to automate workflows and improve design productivity.
• Prepare calculations, telecom designs, specifications, and selections for telecom, fire alarm, audiovisual, security, and CCTV systems.
• Create cabling, security, audiovisual, room-layout, fiber, diagram, drawing, material-schedule, and Wi-Fi heat-map deliverables.
• Coordinate electrical and ELV requirements, handle RFIs, and collaborate on design changes and model reviews.
• Prepare project design deliverables and tender documentation; maintain backups and archives.
• Follow TIA, BICSI, NEC codes and standards, and design procedures; participate in MEP model and content reviews for 3D coordination.

Requirements

• Three to eight years of relevant career experience and a degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant IT skills and computer literacy.
• Knowledge of TIA, BICSI, NEC, NEMA, and NFPA standards.
• Firsthand experience with Revit MEP, BIM360, and Navisworks.
• Good written and spoken English.

Preferred experience

• Mission-critical project experience is preferred.
• Electrical and fire alarm system experience is an added advantage.
