Role overview

Shift pattern

• Work any five days out of seven, with a mixture of day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hygiene standards and efficiency in line with cleaning schedules and tasks.
• Monitor cleaning practices and ensure hygiene, food safety, and health and safety standards are maintained.
• Review labour deployment against hygiene and production requirements and communicate progress and risks to other departments.
• Inspect and audit cleaning machinery and equipment.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental practices; investigate accidents, implement corrective actions, and report near misses.
• Identify sustainable improvements, monitor team capability, and develop colleagues to meet their objectives.

What the employer is looking for

• Good standard of education, literacy, and numeracy, with proficient English communication and reporting.
• Experience managing diverse teams in a complex manufacturing environment.
• HACCP Level 2, COSHH chemicals knowledge, understanding of Listeria, and Food Hygiene Level 2 are listed; these may be trained or developed after recruitment.
