Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve HVAC products, air-conditioning units, and related components.
- Conduct R&D to improve product performance, energy efficiency, and reliability.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, product specifications, engineering calculations, and design documentation.
- Perform thermal, airflow, cooling-capacity, and performance calculations for HVAC systems.
- Develop prototypes and conduct product testing, validation, and performance analysis.
- Improve designs to reduce manufacturing costs and enhance product quality.
- Collaborate with production, quality control, procurement, and engineering teams on product manufacturability.
- Evaluate new technologies, materials, components, and manufacturing methods.
- Ensure compliance with relevant HVAC standards, safety requirements, and applicable certification procedures.
- Investigate product failures, customer complaints, and technical issues; recommend corrective actions.
- Support production trials, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting.
- Maintain R&D records, test reports, product specifications, and technical documentation.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in HVAC product development, R&D, or air-conditioning manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Experience in HVAC product design, prototype development, testing, and performance evaluation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other relevant CAD software.
- Familiarity with HVAC testing procedures, product quality standards, and energy-efficiency requirements.
- Ability to analyze technical data, troubleshoot engineering problems, and develop practical solutions.
- Good communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
