A leading international engineering and construction company operating across the energy and infrastructure sectors is seeking an experienced HVAC Manager (Topside)
Role Overview
The successful candidate will oversee the safe commissioning, start-up, maintenance, and operation of HVAC and refrigeration systems in compliance with HSE standards, project requirements, and international regulations.
The role includes technical supervision, team leadership, maintenance coordination, and operational support across onshore and offshore activities.
Commissioning & Start-Up
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with HSE requirements and permit-to-work procedures.
- Identify and manage operational risks to personnel, equipment, and the environment.
- Supervise testing and inspection activities for HVAC systems alongside technicians and vendors.
- Record and maintain test results and inspection documentation.
Maintenance Operations
- Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Supervise contractor personnel to ensure efficient service execution.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with current company and client HSE standards.
Maintenance Planning & Coordination
- Organise logistical requirements and resources for maintenance operations.
- Participate in site coordination meetings.
- Prepare maintenance reports and ensure accurate CMMS documentation and work history records.
- Coordinate spare parts movement and maintenance handovers.
Technical Support
- Review and improve operating and maintenance procedures where required.
- Coordinate between maintenance preparation and operations teams.
- Track shutdown-related work scopes and modification requests.
- Monitor maintenance backlog and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Anticipate operational issues and work closely with other departments to maintain plant efficiency.
Team Leadership
- Supervise onsite maintenance teams and manage rotation schedules.
- Support team development and competency improvement.
- Promote a strong safety culture and leadership mindset.
Requirements
- Previous experience in HVAC and refrigeration systems within industrial, offshore, or energy-sector projects.
- Strong understanding of commissioning, maintenance planning, and CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of HSE standards and permit-to-work systems.
- Experience supervising multicultural teams in demanding environments.
- Offshore experience preferred.
