HVAC/ICWS Technician
Role Overview
As the HVAC / ICWS Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and Industrial Control & Water Systems (ICWS) supporting mission-critical facilities at Al Udeid Air Base.
This role ensures reliable environmental control and water system operations in accordance with U.S. military standards, safety regulations, and host-nation requirements.

Job Overview
As the HVAC / ICWS Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and Industrial Control & Water Systems (ICWS) supporting mission-critical facilities at Al Udeid Air Base.
This role ensures reliable environmental control and water system operations in accordance with U.S. military standards, safety regulations, and host-nation requirements.
Essential Job Functions
- HVAC Systems: Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, RTUs, split systems, and control systems.
- HVAC Systems: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related HVAC faults and perform corrective maintenance.
- HVAC Systems: Perform preventive maintenance (PM) in accordance with established schedules and technical manuals.
- HVAC Systems: Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
- ICWS / Water Systems: Operate and maintain industrial control systems related to potable water, wastewater, and associated pumping and distribution systems.
- ICWS / Water Systems: Monitor SCADA/BMS interfaces and respond to alarms or system anomalies.
- ICWS / Water Systems: Conduct inspections, testing, and minor repairs on valves, pumps, sensors, and control components.
- ICWS / Water Systems: Support water system sampling, flushing, and compliance activities as required.
- General Duties: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and work orders.
- General Duties: Comply with all safety, environmental, and force protection requirements.
- General Duties: Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and base personnel to support mission needs.
- General Duties: Respond to emergency calls and perform after-hours or on-call support as required.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial/industrial HVAC/R systems and Industrial Chilled Water Systems (ICWS)
- EPA Universal Certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of industrial control systems and water system operations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Additional Requirements
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License
- Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred)
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions

- TRAVEL: 100%, in deployed location.
- SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
