Role Description
The Human Resources Manager will oversee end-to-end HR operations to support a distributed, digital-first organization in a full-time, remote role.
Day-to-day responsibilities include managing recruitment and onboarding, designing and implementing HR policies, and maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation.
The role will support performance management processes, learning and development initiatives, and employee engagement activities to foster a positive, inclusive culture.
The Human Resources Manager will also advise leadership on workforce planning, compensation and benefits, and compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
This role collaborates closely with managers and team members to resolve HR-related issues, promote well-being, and ensure consistent application of HR best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in talent acquisition, interviewing, onboarding, and workforce planning.
- Experience in performance management, feedback frameworks, and learning and development programs.
- Proficiency in HR policies, compliance, employment law basics, and HR documentation and reporting.
- Ability to manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and engagement initiatives in a remote environment.
- Comfort with HRIS tools, data-driven decision-making, and basic HR analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across time zones.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory HR practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; relevant HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is an advantage.
- Prior experience as an HR Manager or HR Generalist, preferably within media, technology, or fast-paced digital organizations.
