Role Description

  • This is a full time, on site Human Resources Manager role based in Doha, Qatar.
  • The Human Resources Manager will oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding for café, library, and event staff.
  • Daily responsibilities include managing staffing levels and schedules, supporting supervisors with employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and maintaining accurate HR records and HRIS data.
  • The role also involves designing and delivering training, supporting career development, and implementing policies and procedures that promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
  • The Human Resources Manager will collaborate closely with operations and management to align HR practices with Volume Café’s service standards and business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and labor law compliance, preferably within Qatar or the GCC region.
  • Proficiency in HR administration, HRIS or HR software, and maintaining accurate personnel records.
  • Skills in training, coaching, and developing team members across front of house, back of house, and support roles.
  • Ability to design and implement HR processes that support scheduling, staffing, and workforce planning in a hospitality environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Organizational and time management abilities to prioritize multiple HR tasks in a fast paced, customer focused setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in hospitality, food and beverage, or retail environments is preferred.
  • Fluency in English required; additional language skills (such as Arabic) are an advantage.
