Job Description

  • Manages the day - to – day HR Department operation
  • Communicates all applicable human resources processes to managers and hotel staff relating to, but not limited to contract compliance, disciplinary procedures, recruitment, orientation, employee relations, benefits, and/ordisciplines employees as needed through clear, calm, and direct oral and written communications in accordance with corporate and hotel specific guidelines.
  • Manages the hotel’s employee relations programs including picnics, holiday functions, health fairs, employee communication sources, etc. and directs staff through detailed oral and written instruction to facilitate successful completion of all related events/ programs.
  • Designs and implements new programs as may be needed for special promotions, events or programs (e.g. safety, blood drives).
  • Oversees the overall function of the Oasys system included but limited to all TMX data entry, hires, separations, report generating and other related Oasys functions.
  • Responds to and negotiates on behalf of the hotel for all unemployment claims.
  • Supervises departmental and hotel staff regarding all issues relating to workers’ compensation to ensure minimum exposure by the hotel for related expenses.
  • Assists in or prepares periodic reports relating to the human resources function (e.g. UAEincluding not, labor turnover, payroll analysis, operational budget) through the use of a moderately complex computer system and written reports.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position

Responsibilities

  • The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Considerable knowledge of UAE Labor Law about policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of local regulations pertaining to workers compensation
  • Ability to deal effectively with all team members and employee representativesmemoranda about are, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing in order to prepare official memorandum and correspondence as well as provide clear and meaningful instructions, guidance and counseling to all team members.
  • Thorough knowledge of human resources practices and procedures as well as considerable knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to human resources and prepare budgets
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to analyze reports forecast and prepare budgets.
  • Ability to type in order to prepare correspondence
  • Ability to travel to training sessions, hearings, etc. held in the local area.

Qualifications

Minimum of two years of previous human resources roles as a coordinator/ officer experience.

Previous hospitality experience preferred.
