The role
The HR Coordinator reports to the Head of People and has an employee portfolio, supporting leaders and teams across the employee lifecycle.
The People team operates as an in-house consultancy, advising and influencing while business owners make final decisions.
The team works to agreed service-level agreements, tracks turnaround times and reports on service performance.
Role responsibilities
- Manage employee onboarding, including new-hire documentation, orientation sessions and transition into the company.
- Provide employee relations and industrial relations support, including award interpretation, drafting letters, performance planning and guiding conversations.
- Coach business owners to manage people matters confidently and consistently.
- Administer offboarding, conduct exit interviews and support smooth employee transitions.
- Guide managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and best practices.
- Track and report against KPIs and meet service-level agreement timeframes.
About you
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, engagement and offboarding processes.
- Solid working knowledge of Australian employment law and award interpretation.
- Hands-on performance management and employee relations experience.
- Consultative approach, with the ability to influence and advise without direct decision-making authority.
- Adaptable communication, strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
