Role overview
Part-time, year-round Human Resources Assistant reporting to the Human Resources Supervisor.
Supports employees and leaders with recruitment, employee relations, safety, compliance, and day-to-day HR services.
HR administration
- Maintain accurate employee records with the Payroll Department.
- Be available for in-person employee check-ins.
- Assist with policy reviews, handbook updates, and visa expiry tracking.
- Complete background checks and maintain a compliance database.
Recruitment and onboarding
- Prepare and post job vacancies; track and collate applications.
- Assist with interviews, pre-screening, reference checks, and recruitment processes.
- Collect onboarding compliance documents and assist with distributing uniforms and season passes.
- Order employee name badges and assist with online orientation and onboarding login issues.
Projects and training
- Assist with new HR initiatives.
- Source training materials and coordinate training requests with managers.
Education, experience, and skills
- Secondary school diploma required; some HR experience is an asset.
- Strong working relationships, attention to detail, accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills; calm responses under pressure.
- Teamwork and effective verbal and written communication; ability to maintain relationships with departments, partners, and government agencies.
Schedule
- Part-time with flexible shifts; one weekend day is included.
- Overtime may be required.
Working conditions
- Work is in person at the resort.
