Role overview

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and applicable legal regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments; report, investigate, and document incidents, near misses, and safety observations.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training to employees and contractors.
• Enforce the HSE Violations and Points System and follow up on corrective actions.
• Support emergency planning, drills, and equipment checks; maintain records and prepare reports.
• Stop unsafe work, escalate serious non-compliance, and collaborate with project teams and contractors on safety improvements.
• Advise on PPE selection, use, and hazard controls.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC HSE certification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience; industrial, oil and gas, or construction experience is preferred.
