HSE Officer / Safety Officer

Overview

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and UAE health and safety regulations.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify hazards.
• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, including:
• Risk Assessments

• Method Statements (RAMS)

• Work Permits
• Safety Reports
• Inspection Checklists
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions for employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor work activities to ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Monitor work at height, lifting operations, excavation works, hot works, and confined space activities.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including first aid and fire safety.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities on HSE matters.
• Maintain records of inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Support management in achieving project HSE objectives and KPIs.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum **2–5 years of HSE experience**, preferably in the UAE construction industry.
• Valid UAE HSE certifications such as:

• Fire Warden And Fire Fighting Training (Preferred)

• Good knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety standards.
• Experience preparing RAMS, permits, and HSE reports.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
