Job Title: HSE Officer (Health, Safety & Environment)
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and qualified HSE Officer to join our team for a mall construction project in Dubai.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with UAE regulations and project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with UAE HSE regulations, company policies, and client requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
- Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures
- Monitor work activities to ensure safe practices are followed at all times
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions for workers and staff
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports
- Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reports as required
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors on safety matters
- Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safety protocols on-site
- Promote a strong safety culture across the project
Requirements
- Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related field/ certification
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in HSE, preferably in construction or mall/large commercial projects
- Relevant certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are mandatory
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and handle site safety responsibilities effectively
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or mall projects in the UAE
- Strong observation and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools
