Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems at project sites; ensure compliance with Qatar regulations, environmental requirements, client standards, and company policies.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and walkthroughs; identify unsafe conditions and acts.
- Prepare and review JSAs, risk assessments, and method statements with project teams.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE awareness sessions.
- Monitor Permit to Work systems and controls for working at height, confined spaces, hot work, lifting, excavation, and other high-risk activities.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, report findings, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and follow up on actions.
- Monitor PPE use, maintain HSE records, and coordinate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Monitor environmental protection, waste management, spill prevention, and housekeeping; support emergency drills and promote continuous improvement.
Mandatory requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant HSE experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of HSE procedures, risk assessment, hazard identification, and workplace safety regulations.
- Practical experience in site inspections, incident reporting, toolbox talks, and HSE documentation.
- Good understanding of PTW, JSA, method statement reviews, oil and gas project safety requirements, and international HSE standards.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills; able to work in a site-based, fast-paced project environment.
