The Role
We are seeking a diligent and proactive HSE Officer to join our team in Dubai, UAE.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a safe working environment, and promoting a culture of safety across all operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with management and staff to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Ensure proper record-keeping of HSE activities, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Stay updated with latest HSE regulations and industry best practices, ensuring company policies are aligned accordingly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an HSE Officer or similar role, preferably in the UAE or Middle East region.
- Strong knowledge of UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Excellent risk assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct trainings and communicate HSE policies effectively to a diverse workforce.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational and reporting skills.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
