Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with ADNOC and local regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas of improvement, providing recommendations and corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Ensure that construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved HSE plans and industry best practices.
- Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near-misses, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs through data analysis, trend identification, and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, including incident reports, inspection findings, training records, and safety statistics.
- Liaise with ADNOC and other relevant authorities to ensure compliance with their guidelines and requirements.
- Collaborate with project engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement of the company's HSE practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- **ADNOC APPROVAL AS AN HSE PROFESSIONAL IS MANDATORY.**
- Proven experience as an HSE Officer in the Construction-Contracting industry or relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of ADNOC HSE requirements and familiarity with local regulations and standards.
- Excellent understanding of construction processes, hazards, and risk management principles.
- Ability to effectively communicate HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Tools
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
