Role Description
The HSE Officer will oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across RT’s on-site project operations in the United Arab Emirates.
This contract role involves conducting regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure adherence to company policies, local regulations, and international HSE standards.
The HSE Officer will develop and implement HSE plans, procedures, and training programs, and will support incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions.
Daily responsibilities include monitoring workplace conditions, coordinating with project teams and subcontractors, promoting a strong safety culture, and maintaining accurate HSE documentation and records.
The role requires close collaboration with engineering, construction, and management teams to proactively identify hazards and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Health & Safety, Workplace Safety, and Occupational Health.
- Candidates should possess knowledge and experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) practices.
- Candidates should possess recognized HSE certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards and their practical application.
- Candidates should possess experience in HSE roles within construction, E&I, or oil and gas environments, preferably in the UAE or Middle East.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, and report writing.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and training abilities to engage diverse site teams.
- Candidates should possess a relevant diploma or degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related discipline.
