Role overview

Performs HSE duties to support ES&H and regulatory compliance on infrastructure construction work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with safety and health programs, systems, and procedures.
  • Monitor workplace hazards and diseases.
  • Support investigations of accidents, injuries, and hazard complaints.
  • Recommend improvements to reduce hazards.
  • Participate in employee training and emergency preparedness and help assure program quality.

Experience and qualifications

  • At least 7 years of HSE experience on major infrastructure construction projects.
  • Mandatory tunnelling experience using TBM, NATM, Cut & Cover, or similar methods.
  • Rail, railway, metro, or high-speed rail infrastructure experience is essential.
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related discipline.

Knowledge and certifications

  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, risk assessment, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Proficiency in incident investigation and hazard identification.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC); IOSH Managing Safely / Working Safely and OSHA Safety Certification are also listed.
  • First Aid and Fire Warden certifications are preferred.

Additional experience

Viaduct or elevated-structure construction experience is advantageous.
