Role overview
Manage workers' accommodation and camp operations while conducting HSE inspections at construction and fit-out sites and a factory.
Ensure safe working and living conditions under company policies and applicable UAE requirements.
Camp operations and welfare
- Manage daily camp operations and welfare; inspect accommodation, kitchens, dining areas, washrooms, and common areas.
- Maintain housekeeping, hygiene, waste management, and cleanliness; monitor utilities, plumbing, sanitation, and facilities.
- Coordinate room allocations, arrivals, departures, transfers, and occupancy records with HR.
- Coordinate with maintenance, security, HR, and management to resolve camp issues and escalate serious welfare concerns.
HSE inspections and records
- Inspect construction and fit-out sites and the factory for HSE, housekeeping, PPE, fire safety, access, and general working conditions.
- Monitor fire safety equipment, exits, evacuation routes, and emergency preparedness.
- Report hazards, incidents, and near misses; follow up on corrective actions.
- Support toolbox talks, safety awareness, and emergency drills; maintain inspection reports and HSE records.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in HSE, Engineering, or a related field; NEBOSH IGC is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in construction, fit-out, contracting, HSE, or camp management.
- Workers' accommodation or camp management experience is preferred; site and factory monitoring experience is an advantage.
Skills and capabilities
- Knowledge of camp safety, hygiene, welfare, housekeeping, and basic site HSE requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good communication and coordination; ability to communicate effectively with workers from different nationalities; strong organization, inspection, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 3,000–3,500 per month.
Work location
- Work is in person and includes camp, site, and factory visits.
