We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Assistant to join our construction team in Dubai.
The ideal candidate must have 2–4 years of experience working with a Dubai-based construction company and a strong understanding of UAE construction safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the HSE/Safety Officer in implementing health, safety, and environmental policies on construction sites.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and UAE regulatory requirements.
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all site personnel.
- Maintain safety records, reports, permits, and inspection documentation.
- Support safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to the Safety Officer.
- Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Assist in emergency response and evacuation procedures when required.
Requirements
- **Mandatory:** 2–4 years of experience with a Dubai-based construction company.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of UAE construction safety regulations and best practices.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certification is preferred.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
