Role Description

This part-time HR Director role at ABO Energy Services GmbH is a hybrid position based in Abu Dhabi, with a mix of on-site presence and the option to work from home on agreed days.

The HR Director will oversee the full HR lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment support, onboarding, and offboarding.

The role includes designing, implementing, and updating HR strategies and programs that align with business objectives, while advising leadership on organizational development and change management.

The HR Director will manage employee relations, oversee performance management processes, and ensure compliance with applicable labor and employment laws and internal policies.

This position will also lead HR reporting and analytics, manage HR-related vendors and tools, and continuously improve HR processes to enhance employee experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong Human Resources (HR) leadership skills, including strategic HR planning and experience overseeing the full employee lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that support organizational goals and compliance.
  • Experience managing employee relations, including conflict resolution, coaching leaders, and fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace.
  • Solid background in performance management, including setting frameworks, supporting managers with feedback, and aligning performance with rewards.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor and employment law, with a focus on UAE regulations and best practices in an international or multicultural environment.
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid setting, managing priorities independently and maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, HRCI) are an advantage.
  • Experience in the energy, engineering, or related sectors, and familiarity with growth-oriented, project-driven organizations is beneficial.
