Purpose of the Position

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning supplies
• Ability to use housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, buffers, and scrubbing machine
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain positive relations with faculty, staff and students

• High school graduate or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma
• Experience with cleaning methods and cleaning supplies

• Hotel, higher education or similar housekeeping experience
• Experience using housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers or scrubbing machines

Conditions of Employment

• This is a classified position. New and returning classified employees are required to complete a 12-month probationary period
• Selected candidate must attend a 2-day New Employee Orientation Program
