Housekeeping Specialist

Role overview

Working arrangement

• The role is based across multiple properties throughout Dubai and requires daily movement between sites.
• The schedule is six days per week with one weekly day off; flexibility is required for operational demands, check-ins, and check-outs.
• The UAE driving licence is mandatory.

Compensation

• Salary is AED 5,000 per month.
• Performance-based bonuses or future salary increases may be considered based on individual performance and company requirements.

Team leadership

• Lead, motivate, and support approximately five cleaners; hold daily briefings and ensure assignments are understood.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, and productivity; provide practical training and coaching, support onboarding, and escalate serious concerns.
• Build teamwork, accountability, and high standards.

Cleaning and quality control

• Inspect properties before they are released as guest-ready and ensure ShineOn and client cleaning standards are followed.
• Correct poor-quality work, demonstrate proper cleaning methods, and clean alongside the team when operationally required.
• Support urgent turnovers, staff shortages, and high-volume days; reduce re-cleans and recurring quality issues through coaching.
• Ensure bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, living areas, balconies, and other spaces meet hospitality-level standards.
• Report maintenance issues or property damage promptly.

Property operations and supplies

• Follow the daily schedule, ensure cleaners reach properties on time and prepared, and move between sites to inspect and support the team.
• Respond to delayed check-outs, early check-ins, and schedule changes; communicate problems promptly and help reorganize the team.
• Handle keys, access cards, and property information responsibly and maintain clear communication with operations staff.
• Ensure cleaners have suitable chemicals, equipment, and consumables; monitor use, prevent waste, report damage or shortages, and ensure chemicals are stored and used safely.

Client and guest standards

• Maintain professional conduct and ensure cleaners do the same while representing ShineOn at client properties.
• Handle straightforward on-site concerns professionally, escalate significant issues, and take ownership of cleaning-related complaints.
• Protect client property, keys, access information, and confidential information.

What the employer is looking for

• At least 5 years of experience in hotels, holiday homes, serviced apartments, or professional hospitality cleaning.
• Proven team-leader, housekeeping-supervisor, or similar operational experience; strong practical cleaning knowledge and experience leading cleaning teams.
• Valid UAE driving licence, strong quality-control and inspection skills, and willingness to clean personally when required.
• Good English communication, training and coaching ability, organization, and time management; able to remain calm during busy operations and last-minute changes.
• Comfort with WhatsApp, mobile applications, checklists, and basic operational systems.
• Holiday-home turnovers and scattered-operations experience is strongly preferred.
