Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Entry-level position; little to no previous work experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and provide excellent customer service.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies, chemicals, proper storage, and safe handling procedures.
  • Ability to recognize potential safety hazards and follow proper procedures when handling biohazards and personal protective equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills, dependability, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with guests, coworkers, and other departments.
  • Ability to stand, walk, push, and pull housekeeping carts for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare guest rooms for cleaning by removing trash, collecting soiled linens, and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Deliver requested amenities and equipment to guest rooms, including rollaway beds, cribs, ironing boards, chairs, and portable refrigerators.
  • Deliver laundry to and from the warehouse and maintain adequate linen supplies for Room Attendants.
  • Keep housekeeping carts, linen closets, and storage areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout hotel hallways, vending areas, public spaces, walls, doors, and other assigned areas.
  • Perform dusting, spot cleaning, trash removal, and other general housekeeping duties.
  • Inspect and report damages, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Properly clean, maintain, and store housekeeping equipment and supplies at the end of each shift.
  • Follow established cleaning procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and workplace safety standards.
  • Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally while maintaining positive relationships with other departments.
  • Complete required assignment sheets and return keys according to established procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
