About This Role
Overview
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to hotel standards.
- Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and guest amenities.
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust furniture, and sanitize surfaces.
- Refill room supplies such as toiletries, tissues, and minibar items (if assigned).
- Report any maintenance issues (broken fixtures, leaks, damaged furniture) to supervisors.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste and soiled linens.
- Follow daily room assignment schedules given by the housekeeping supervisor.
- Respond promptly to guest requests in a polite and professional manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping equipment and trolley.
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Assist in deep cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing or furniture polishing when required.
- Ensure lost and found items are immediately reported to the supervisor.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and hotel housekeeping standards
- Ability to use cleaning tools and chemicals safely
- Understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices
- Basic knowledge of hotel room setup standards
- 0–1 year experience in housekeeping
- Experience in hotels, resorts, is an advantage
