Housekeeping Assistant

Position Overview

General Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas according to established daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, and furnishings using approved cleaning products and equipment
• Dust, damp wipe, wash, sanitize, and polish fixtures, furniture, and surfaces including beds, bed rails, nightstands, tables, chairs, light fixtures, shelves, windowsills, and over-door facings
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and infection prevention throughout the facility
• Properly handle cleaning supplies and equipment while following safety and sanitation guidelines
• Respond promptly and courteously to resident and staff needs related to housekeeping services

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience preferred
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must demonstrate patience, compassion, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
• Must be capable of performing the essential job functions and physical requirements of the position
