Job Summary
A Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness in assigned areas.
The role ensures a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests, residents, or staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Make beds, change linens, and replace towels
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- Replenish supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products
- Dispose of trash and maintain waste bins
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Follow health and safety standards at all times
- Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals properly
- Assist with laundry duties if required
- Respond to guest or client requests promptly and politely
Requirements & Skills
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Physical stamina (standing, bending, lifting)
- Basic communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
