HYKAL are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design review and construction supervision of a prestigious f ive-star hotel and high-rise development. The role requires strong technical leadership, deep regional experience, and the ability to manage complex structural systems from design through execution.

Position: Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, review, and approve structural designs for reinforced concrete and steel structures, including high-rise buildings, deep basements, mass concrete foundations, retaining walls, and special structures.
• Ensure full compliance with local regulations and international codes (ACI, AISC, BS, SBC, ASTM, ISO).
• Perform and review structural analysis and load calculations (dead, live, wind, seismic), ensuring stability, safety, and serviceability.
• Review and approve design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and site logistics plans.
• Provide technical input during value engineering, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate closely with architectural, MEP, and other disciplines to resolve clashes and ensure integrated project delivery.
• Supervise and monitor on-site structural works, including reinforcement, formwork, concrete pouring, and steel erection.
• Enforce quality control procedures, issue NCRs when required, and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Support site management through schedule planning, resource management, coordination meetings, and reporting.
• Lead and mentor site and technical teams, promoting high standards of performance, professionalism, and quality.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Structural Detailing, Revit Structure, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD Pro, Prokon/CSI Columns, and and Microsoft Office.
• Strong experience with 3D structural modeling and analysis software.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from a recognized international university.
• PMP certification (mandatory).
• Minimum 15 years of total engineering experience, including at least 5 years as a Consultant on major five-star hotel and high-rise projects
• Proven experience in

Saudi Arabia or the Gulf region , particularly on luxury hospitality developments.

• Strong knowledge of Saudi authority requirements (Municipality, Civil Defense, MOT), Ministry of Tourism regulations, and international hotel operator standards.
• Solid background in scheduling, contract management, risk assessment, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Valid Saudi Iqama and driving license.
• Available for immediate joining.
