Role Overview
A Front Office Agent acts as the primary point of contact for guests in a hotel, managing arrivals, departures, guest communication, and daily front-desk operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, verify identification, process check-ins and check-outs, and issue room keys.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and walk-in requests, manage room assignments, and provide details on hotel amenities and local attractions.
- Process room payments, post incidental charges, handle cash drawers, and settle accounts upon departure.
- Address and resolve complaints or special requests promptly with a calm, customer-focused attitude.
- Communicate closely with Housekeeping and maintenance teams to track room status and ensure ready arrivals.
- Promote hotel upgrades, loyalty programs, and extra facilities to enhance the guest experience and drive revenue.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; a degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or Tourism is often preferred by luxury and upscale brands.
- Prior customer service or front desk experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems such as IDS, Opera PMS, or Cloudbeds, alongside basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong verbal and written communication in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Active problem-solving abilities, patience, and a professional appearance.
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends, nights, and public holidays.
Compensation
- Salary of QAR 1,500 plus accommodation and transportation.
- Pay: QAR 1,300.00 – QAR 1,500.00 per month.
