Welcome guests, organize dining-room seating, and help provide a safe, comfortable hospitality experience.
Guest and dining-room service
- Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables with menus.
- Guide guests through dining rooms and provide needed assistance.
- Arrange tables, chairs, and settings, including seating for groups with special needs.
- Ensure place settings are appropriate and complete.
- Check menus for cleanliness, accuracy, availability, and condition.
- Monitor seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
Standards and teamwork
- Maintain clean work areas using clean-as-you-go procedures.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions and complete safety training.
- Welcome guests according to company standards and use clear, professional language and telephone etiquette.
- Build positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to colleagues’ concerns.
- Protect confidential information and company assets and meet quality standards.
Preferred qualifications and conditions
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is specified as necessary.
- No license or certification is specified.
- The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
