Guest and dining-room service
- Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables.
- Guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance; arrange seating for groups with special needs.
- Arrange tables, chairs, and settings, and ensure place settings include appropriate menus, napkins, clean silverware, and standard items.
- Check that menus are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
- Maintain clean work areas using clean-as-you-go procedures and monitor seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
Standards and teamwork
- Follow company and safety/security policies, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; welcome guests according to company standards.
- Communicate professionally, answer telephones with appropriate etiquette, build positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
- Meet quality standards and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Qualifications and physical demands
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is listed as necessary; no license or certification is listed.
- The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
