Job Summary
The Business Development Manager (Oncology) is responsible for driving growth, partnerships, and revenue generation for the hospital’s oncology service line. This role focuses on expanding patient volumes, strengthening referral networks, identifying strategic opportunities, and positioning the hospital as a leading oncology care provider in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies specific to oncology services
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and referral channels (physicians, clinics, corporate clients, insurers, international markets)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with oncologists, healthcare providers, and key stakeholders
- Promote oncology services through outreach programs, medical events, and community engagement initiatives
- Collaborate with clinical teams to understand service capabilities and align growth strategies
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and patient demographics to inform strategic decisions
- Drive international patient acquisition, especially from GCC, Africa, and South Asia markets
- Work closely with marketing to develop targeted campaigns for oncology services
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including patient volumes, revenue growth, and referral sources
- Support contract negotiations with insurance companies and corporate clients
- Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in healthcare business development, with at least 2–3 years in oncology services
- Strong understanding of oncology treatments, patient pathways, and healthcare systems
- Experience in the UAE or GCC healthcare market is highly preferred
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and building strategic partnerships
