Role Description
The Honorary Regional Advisor is a volunteer, remote role focused on supporting AI20 Global Alliance’s mission within an assigned region.
The advisor will help identify and nurture strategic partnerships, including collaborations with universities, research centers, industry stakeholders, and policy bodies.
Day-to-day activities include participating in virtual meetings, providing insights on regional AI trends, and advising on outreach strategies and regional initiatives.
The advisor will represent AI20 Global Alliance in relevant forums, contribute to thought leadership content or events, and help connect local innovators and organizations with global opportunities.
This role is ideal for individuals who wish to contribute their expertise and networks to advance responsible AI development and cross-border cooperation.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and their applications across sectors.
- Experience in building strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, or ecosystem development at regional or international levels.
- Background in policy, governance, or regulatory frameworks related to technology, innovation, or digital transformation is beneficial.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and networking skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and cultures.
- Prior experience in leadership, advisory, or ambassadorial roles in industry, academia, government, or non-profit organizations is an advantage.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical, inclusive, and sustainable innovation, aligned with long-term societal impact.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and collaborate across time zones.
- Fluency in English; additional regional languages are an asset.
- Relevant academic background in technology, business, public policy, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
