Role Description
This full-time Home Health Care Assistant role is an on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Home Health Care Assistant will provide direct support to clients in their homes, assisting with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, mobility, and other activities of daily living.
The role includes monitoring and documenting basic health status, following care plans, and promptly reporting changes in condition to supervising nurses or care coordinators.
The assistant will help with meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping related to client care, and safe transfers or positioning.
Day-to-day responsibilities also include offering emotional support, engaging clients in safe activities, respecting cultural and family preferences, and maintaining clear communication with clients, families, and the care team.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Home Care, including supporting clients safely in their home environment and following individualized care plans.
- Experience assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and basic household tasks related to client care.
- Strong Patient Care and Personal Care skills, including maintaining client dignity, privacy, comfort, and infection control practices.
- Effective Communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with clients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams, and accurately report observations.
- Previous experience in home health, elderly care, or similar caregiving roles is preferred.
- Relevant caregiving, nursing assistant, or practical nursing certification or training is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as client needs require.
- Fluency in English; additional languages commonly spoken in the region are a plus.
- Reliable, empathetic, patient, and able to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility.
