What You’ll Do
- Process tissue specimens for histologic examination.
- Preparing and staining microscopic slides for subsequent evaluation by the Mohs Surgeon.
- Perform all lab competencies and proficiency testing to maintain CLIA standards.
- Some of the work in this role will be done on the floor during the specimen collection process, and then in the lab for benchwork.
- Key Qualifications & Characteristics
- Histotech Licensure/Certification or
- Associate Degree or higher, or
- Histology experience, or
- HT(ASCP) or AAB certification or
- 60 college semester hours with focus on Medical lab tech, Chemistry or Biology
