Role Overview

The HIS Support Specialist will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical and functional support for the Hospital Information System (HIS).

The successful candidate will work closely with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure smooth system operations and a high level of user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and functional support for HIS users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, incidents, and user inquiries.
  • Log, track, and follow up on support tickets until resolution.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams or vendors when required.
  • Configure and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.
  • Assist with system updates, testing, and deployment of new functionalities.
  • Maintain documentation for processes, known issues, and resolutions.
  • Deliver basic user training and support sessions.
  • Gather user feedback and contribute to system improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with implementation and IT teams to ensure system stability and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Health Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in technical support and troubleshooting of HIS or similar healthcare/enterprise applications.
  • Excellent customer support and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with clinical, administrative, and technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with hospital workflows, medical terminology, or healthcare information systems is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Jeddah and Taif.
