Role overview
The HIM Systems Analyst collects, stores, processes, designs, and presents data to support organizational decisions.
The role is part of the Health Information and Technology department and helps manage and secure organizational data assets.
Data reporting and quality
- Develops, generates, maintains, and validates reports for the electronic health record.
- Analyzes, reconciles, and validates data and report output for integrity, accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Completes assigned report projects and assists with help desk tickets in a timely manner.
Documentation and systems support
- Documents SQL queries, databases, reports, data definitions, system processes, workflows, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Works with the Director of Health Information Management on data, database, reporting, and informatics priorities.
- Collaborates with IT on EHR configuration, system updates, ODBC database connectivity, and technical, interface, and data-related troubleshooting.
- Performs on-call end-user support as assigned.
Requirements and desired experience
- Ability to work independently while working closely with department staff.
- Experience in Crystal Reports is desired.
