High School Math & Science Tutor (Grades 11 & 12 – Math, Physics, Chemistry)

Oxford Learning Waterdown is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic tutor to work with high school students in Grade 11 and 12 Math, Physics, and/or Chemistry . This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys helping students build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities

Teach high school students (Grades 11 & 12) math, physics, and/or chemistry

Support students in understanding complex concepts and developing strong problem-solving skills

Guide students through curriculum-based material, homework support, and test/exam preparation

Encourage independent learning, critical thinking, and effective study habits

Provide a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment

Follow Oxford Learning teaching methods and structured program plans

Qualifications

Strong academic background in math and/or science (physics/chemistry)

Currently pursuing or completed a degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, science, math, education)

Comfortable teaching senior-level high school concepts

Excellent communication skills and ability to explain concepts clearly

Patient, encouraging, and student-focused approach

Experience tutoring or working with students is an asset
