Role overview
Town Bakery is hiring an assistant baker/helper chef in Dubai with practical experience in bakery, pastries, croissants, and desserts.
Experience and qualifications
- Previous experience in a bakery, hotel, restaurant, or pastry shop is required.
- Experience in a bakery and café environment is preferred.
Preparation skills
- Good experience preparing bread and bakery products, with knowledge of croissants and French pastries.
- Experience preparing cakes and desserts; understanding of dough preparation, fermentation, shaping, and baking.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality.
Work approach and standards
- Good knowledge of hygiene and food-safety standards.
- Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure; punctual, responsible, and willing to follow instructions.
Main responsibilities
- Assist with daily bakery and pastry production; prepare dough, croissants, pastries, and bread.
- Assist with cakes and desserts using approved recipes and monitor quality during preparation and baking.
- Keep the work area and equipment clean and organized.
- Support the Chef with production planning and preparation and follow quality, hygiene, and food-safety standards.
Pay
- AED 1,800–2,200 per month.
Work location
- Work is in person in Dubai.
