Job Summary
The Helper supports skilled workers and site operations by performing basic tasks, handling materials, and maintaining cleanliness at the worksite.
The role requires physical effort, discipline, and willingness to follow instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist masons, carpenters, electricians, and other skilled workers as required
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment
- Prepare and clean work areas before and after tasks
- Mix materials such as cement, mortar, or grout as instructed
- Hold tools and provide support during installation or repair work
- Follow instructions from supervisors and site engineers
- Maintain proper storage of materials and tools
- Remove debris and ensure site cleanliness
- Follow all safety rules and use protective equipment
- Perform any other general duties assigned by the supervisor
Skills & Requirements
- Basic understanding of construction site work
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team
- Physically fit and capable of handling manual labor
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Basic knowledge of safety practices
Education & Experience
- No formal education required (basic literacy preferred)
- Prior experience as a helper or laborer is an advantage
Working Conditions
- Work at construction sites (indoor and outdoor)
- Exposure to heat, dust, and noise
- Requires lifting, bending, and long hours of standing
