About This Role
Key Missions
- Install, maintain, and repair all types of heating and cooling-related equipment and apparatus, including packaged units, air handling units (AHU/FAHU), VRF units, chillers, and other related systems.
- Carry out daily plant operations and procedures.
- Monitor and verify the operation of all HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshoot HVAC system faults and develop effective repair solutions.
- Identify maintenance risks associated with HVAC equipment.
- Modify and rebuild existing HVAC installations as per requirements.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical problems related to air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Repair and rebuild semi-hermetic compressors.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks and routine service work independently and efficiently.
- Utilize tools and apparatus related to air conditioning and refrigeration properly and safely.
- Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and operational issues as they arise.
- Assist in various electrical and plumbing jobs and develop skills accordingly.
- Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Keep accurate records and daily logs of all maintenance functions.
Academic Knowledge and Experience
- Technical diploma / vocational certificate/trade certificate.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in HVAC maintenance field.
Technical Skills
- Skilled in installing and fixing different types of HVAC systems.
- Good at finding and solving electrical and mechanical issues.
- Familiar with control panels and basic electrical systems.
- Experienced in repairing and rebuilding compressors.
- knowledge of basic electrical controls and the different functional components and parts used in control panels.
- Welding and soldering techniques.
- Pipe measurement, sizing, flaring, and swagging techniques.
- SCADA/BMS control and components (will be an advantage).
- Ability to interpret and read various electrical drawings (will be an advantage).
- Computer skills:
- Basic computer skills.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Language Skills
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in Arabic, Hindi, and/or Urdu will be an advantage.
