• This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia.
• This unique project consists of major mixed-use development, including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts, along with all associated infrastructure.
• Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.
• Mace is seeking an experienced Senior Health and Safety Manager to join the delivery partner team, providing leadership and oversight across a multi-floor office fit-out.
• The role will be critical in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance are maintained throughout an accelerated construction programme and will require working night shifts for an initial period of 9–12 months to support programme delivery and ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
• You’ll be responsible for:
• Lead health and safety management for fit-out works across multiple floors within a fast-track construction environment.
• Provide on-site HSE leadership during night shift operations, ensuring full compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Implement and monitor project-specific health and safety plans, policies, and procedures.
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks to ensure safe working practices are consistently maintained.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and permit-to-work systems.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement mitigation measures to prevent incidents.
• Drive a strong safety culture across all contractors and subcontractors on site.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and company policies.
• Lead incident investigations, reporting, and root cause analysis, ensuring lessons learned are embedded.
• Interface with contractors, supervision teams, and stakeholders to ensure consistent application of safety requirements.
• Deliver toolbox talks, training sessions, and safety briefings as required.
• Provide regular reporting on safety performance, risks, and compliance to senior leadership.
• You’ll need to have:
• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Willingness and ability to work night shifts for a sustained period (9–12 months).
• Middle East experience (KSA preferred).
• Experience working within a PMC, delivery partner and Tier 1 contractor environment.
• Proven experience as a Senior Health and Safety Manager on fit-out or construction projects.
• Strong experience working in fast-track or high-pressure delivery environments.
• Experience managing health and safety on commercial or office fit-out projects
• Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
