Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Prayagraj for a Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officer.
The HSE Officer will implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental standards across hospitality properties, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Daily responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits; identifying hazards; and recommending corrective actions.
The role involves developing and updating HSE procedures, delivering safety trainings and toolbox talks to staff, and maintaining documentation related to incidents, inspections, and compliance.
The HSE Officer will investigate accidents and near-misses, coordinate emergency response drills, and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental performance.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Workplace Safety, with experience applying these principles in operational or hospitality environments.
- Expertise in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
- Relevant safety certification such as NEBOSH (or equivalent), with the ability to interpret and apply safety regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering HSE trainings, safety briefings, and awareness programs for diverse staff groups.
- Ability to maintain accurate HSE records, prepare reports, and use basic digital tools (e.g., spreadsheets, incident tracking systems).
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence safe behaviors at all levels.
- Proven capability to work on-site, conduct field inspections, and respond promptly to HSE issues or emergencies.
- Experience in hospitality, facilities management, or property operations is an advantage; a relevant diploma or degree in safety, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
